ERUBAEV SATTAR

ERUBAEV SATTAR (1914-37), writer. Graduated from the Leningrad institute of philosophy, linguistics and history (1933). In 1934-35 deputy editor of the city newspaper "Karaganda proletariats" (nowadays regional newspaper «Орталық Қазақстан»). The author of ballads «Уш шахтер туралы баллада» ("The ballad about three miners"), «Меруерт алқа» ("Necklace"), short stories «Бакыт» ("Happiness"), «Өмір көркемді» ("Beauty of life") about the birth of working class of Karaganda. In the novel "My Age-mates", it is published in 1939, pictures of life and work of the youth creating the coal center of Kazakhstan — Karaganda are displayed. In honor of S. Erubayev one of high schools of Karaganda, the street is called.

ERMEKOV ALIMKHAN ABEUOVICH

ERMEKOV ALIMHAN ABEUOVICH (1891-1970), public and statesman, one of leaders of movement Alash, mathematician. Graduated from Tomsk institute of technology (1921).

In 1919-20 member and chairman of board of revolutionary-military committee on management of the Kyrgyz (Kazakh) edge, member Semipalatinsk Gubrev comitette. Played an outstanding role in delimitation of the Kazakh ASSR in the West, the North and the East.

In 1921-24 worked in Semipalatinsk provincial executive committee, in provincial committee planning management, fulfilling duties of the deputy the chairman of committee of planning, the manager. industrial section. It was elected the member of Central Executive Committee of 6 and 7 convocations of the Kazakh ASSR.

Since 1926 was in a scientific and pedagogical field. In 1927-35 was teacher in Tashkent. Kazakh teacher training college, associate professor KAZPI, professor of Almaty Veterinary institute and head of the department of mathematics. A.Ermekov the first of mathematicians was entitled the professor (1935).

In 1935 published in the Kazakh language a mathematics course, the dictionary «Қазақ тіліндегi математика терминдері».

In 1935-37 head of the department of mathematics and theoretical mechanics of Almaty mining and metallurgical institute (nowadays KAZNTU). In 1930-47. A.Ermekov was three times unreasonably condemned.

In 1947 it is released ahead of schedule. Same year since August 15 A.Ermekov heads chair of mathematics of the Chimkent technical institute, continues to be engaged in teaching activity. Again on false charge it is detained. In 1955 on March 7 under the decree of the General prosecutor of the USSR it is released ahead of schedule.

In 1957 on November 26 it was completely rehabilitated. Until the end of life taught at the Karaganda mining and metallurgical institute (nowadays KARSTU). The main directions research works — mathematical statistics, theoretical mechanics, questions of mathematical terminology. In Karaganda the street is called his name.

ERZHANOV MANARBEK

ERZHANOV MANARBEK (1901-66), singer (tenor), actor, composer, one of founders of the Kazakh national theater, national actor KAZSSR (1938). Successor of traditions of singing school of akyn Yashubaya Koshkarbayev.

In 1928-31 worked at the Kazakh drama theater (nowadays the Kazakh state drama theater of M. O. Auezov). In 1931-32 created theater of young workers in Riddera (Leninogorsk). In 1933-53 the soloist of the Kazakh state opera and ballet theater of Abay, created scenic images Zharas ("Ayman-Sholpan"), Shege ("Kyz Zhibek"), Sakhan ("Er-Targyn"), Azima ("Abay"), In 1953-66 the soloist of the Kazakh state philharmonic hall of Dzhambul. In repertoire of a song of Akhan-sere, Birzhan-sala, Zharylgapberda, Estaya and other akyns. ERDEN SANDYIBAULY

ERDEN SANDYYBAULY (1808-62), batyr, parish governor. Was the influential statesman to which opinion listened not only tribespeople, but also governors of Orenburg, Omsk. It was in good diplomatic relations with the Russian governors, with the khan of Kenesara who headed national liberation movement. Organized repulse to kokandy aggressors, having broken their armies. Erden Sandybayuly visited the imperial palace in St. Petersburg. Erden's grave is about a grave of Zhoshy of the khan on the left coast of river Karakengir.

EDIGE

EDIGE (Idigu, Idik, 1352-1419) emir and commander of the Golden Horde, Kutlu-Kab's son of a sort “мангыт”. Edige came to a historical scene together with Toktamysh. It was the era of feudal feud, time of office of Joint stock company of a horde from the Golden Horde, its formation as the certain state.

In 1376 Edige runs from Urus of the khan to Timur to Samarkand. After transition of the power to Joint stock company to a horde, and then in the Golden Horde to Toktamysh, Edige goes over to Timur. After Tokhtamysh's defeat in 1392 and flight from Timur, Edige establishes the power to Entre Rios of Volga and the Urals, bases the Nogai horde. In 1396-1411 was the actual governor of the Golden Horde. Together with Timur-kutlugom fought against Tokhtamysh.

In 1399 broke Tokhtamysh's running to Lithuania army. In 1406, after Tokhtamysh's death, located in Western Siberia.

In 1407-1409 made a campaign to Russia, having plundered Nizhny Novgorod, Rostov-Pereyaslavl, Dmitrov, Serpukhov. Surrounded Moscow, but it did not manage to take the city.

In 1410-12 lost the power in the Golden Horde, was lost in 1419. It is buried in Ulytau.
