ABDIROV NURKEN

 

ABDIROV NURKEN (1919–42) was a Kazakh pilot who served for the Soviet Union in World War II, and was killed in the Battle of Stalingrad. military pilot attack plane, sergeant, Hero of the Soviet Union (1943, posthumously). In 1939 ended flight courses of the Karaganda aero club and received profession of the pilot of a stock. In ranks of Red Army it is called in 1940. After the termination of the Orenburg aviation school (1942) it was sent to the 808th assault regiment of the 267th aviation division. Differed brave and skillful actions, destroying warehouses with ammunition, manpower and military equipment of the enemy. For 16 fighting departures Abdirov destroyed 12 fascist tanks, 28 lorries, 18 cars with ammunition, 3 tanks with fuel, 3 tools and more than 50 German soldiers and officers. Having received the 17th fighting task (19.12.1942)  N. Abdirov together with shooter radio operator Komissarov took off on destruction of enemy defensive works and tank concentrations in the area Bokov — Ponomarevka (A Stalingrad boundary). During task performance the crew destroyed some earth-and-timber emplacements, 2 points of an antiaircraft artillery, 6 tanks, however the plane was lined. Having sent the plane embraced with a flame to a place where the enemy equipment was concentrated, crew members heroically were lost, having repeated N.F.Gastello's feat. In the Karaganda region, in the village where Nurken Abdirov was born and to which it is named the hero, and also on the farm the Skates in the Rostov region of the Veshen area where N. Abdirov is buried, monuments were established. In Karaganda there is Nurken Abdirov Avenue. Parallel to it A. Komissarov Street settles down. In Volgograd, on Mamayevom a barrow, also there is a monument to Abdirov N. According to the documentary story about Abdirov "At immortality peak", written to. Yakimov (Alma-Ata, 1966), created the movie at “Kazakhtelefilm” studio.
